A vehicles "Instant Center" determines it's ability to transfer weight properly upon acceleration. The angle of the upper and lower control arms produces an intersect point that initiates this weight transfer. With fixed control arm mounting points, it is not possible to tune this instant center position in the chassis. Our control arm relocation brackets provide additional rear mounting holes that allow you to alter the instant center by varying the control arm angles. This mod is recommended for any type of racing and should also be performed if the vehicle is lowered to correct the rear suspension geometry. Mounting hardware included. This is a TRUE bolt-in item. Correct the suspension geometry in your S197 Mustang GT and GT500 with Control Arm Relocation Brackets from BMR Suspension. Manufactured from 3/16” CNC laser cut steel plates, these bolt-in brackets provide (3) new mounting locations for correcting your rear suspensions’ anti-squat characteristics. Additionally, this newly designed bracket captures existing factory holes in three locations per side, preventing counter-rotation and eliminating the necessity for welding in all but extreme applications. The BMR Control Arm Relocation Brackets (CAB005) correct the vehicles instantaneous center, improving drag strip traction and handling traction during corner exiting. Installation time is only 2-3 hours. Available in black hammertone or red powdercoat.
Note : This is an existing product that has been redesigned. The new design has (3) mounting locations for the Lower Control Arm. Each bracket mounts to the rear axle housing in (3) different places instead of (2) places like the old design. The extra strength means that this product is now a true bolt-on, even for cars running drag slicks or drag radial tires.
