Arguably the most amazing hot rod to ever exit a Ford factory, the Shelby GT500is here. With a mountain of horsepower just waiting to be unleashed, American Racing Headers’ bolt in long tube header systems can increase power and torque by as much as 40RWHP and 40RWTQ. Like all American Racing Headers’ systems, construction is all 304 S/S, flanges are 3/8" laser cut and collectors are merge style and incorporate scavenger spikes. X-pipes include 200 cell high flow metallic cats or can be ordered without cats. 1-3/4" primaries come standard. For high boost race applications, headers with 1-7/8" primaries are available as well.

    I highly recommend getting a set of these headers. I dropped the k member to make installation much easier. Its not a big deal removing it. I used Cometic gaskets and factory studs and nuts except for some of the lower bolts. There I used the included 10mm headed bolts. Plenty of room to get the trans out with the headers on.

    Just finished my installation of the ARH long tubes and the non catted "H" pipe. Installation was straight forward with the only slow down to the process is tightening the drivers side nuts. Just take your time and think through the process. The fit is great with lots of room to change the transmission if you need to do so without removing the headers. The difference in the cars performance can really be felt in the seat of your pants. It appears to rev much easier to 6000RPM. You cannot tell there is any difference at idle with respect to decibel level, but starting at about 3000rpm, the animal is unleashed and there is no sweeter sound all the way to 6800RPM. I have Corsa axle backs, and the stock set-up may be a little more toned down. Great product and service from Van is second to none. Lund tune works great with no engine codes displayed.
