OE-Look Intercooler tank for 07-12 Shelby GT500.

Wasn't able to hook up the lower hose to the tank even though I rerouted the hose under the metal lines. I bought a 3/4" 90* elbow adapter and used some of the extra hose cut from the top hose to get the bottom hose attached to the tank. Other than the slight mod and extra $8 in parts for the elbow and a couple of hose clamps, the tank works great. Like how the tank fills in the open space between the stock IC tank and the radiator overflow tank. Before the tank change the temperature difference between the intake air and intercooler air was between 30-35 degrees cruising down the highway. With the new tank the difference in temperature is between 16-20 degrees. These temps were measured with my dual Aeroforce gauges using the IAT and IAT2.

I wasn't able to get the factory hose to connect to the bottom of the new tank since the outlet sticks straight down instead of to the side like the stock tank. Had to buy a 3/4" hose adapter and use the cut off piece of hose from the top to add to the bottom to hook it all up. I tried to reroute the bottom hose like ithers have mentioned but still didn't work.
Nice factory look to the larger tank, fills the ugly gap between the radiator overflow and stock IC tank.

I'm a big sucker for things that look like they came from the factory, and this was an item that hit the nail on the head. If you are really attention to detail like I am, make sure to install another bolt for this tank on the fan shroud. You just need two ford parts - a J clip retainer and the bolt. The J clip is P/N: W520802S441 and the bolt is P/N: W505422S438.

Easy install, looks OEM, and every GT500 owner should do this upgrade.

Super easy install. Requires stock hose to be cut Holds almost 3/4 gallon of coolant which helps keep temperatures down. Remember to remove the inlet hose slightly on the pump to let air escape after filling the reservoir to help prime it.

This is what the Shelby's should've came with from the factory. Very simple install. Can't be the price.

hello it is a very good tank but the connection on the side conducting liner should be bending the hose because I crashed due to an elbow so that the hose does not crash but she moved very well good product

Can't argue with this product one bit. The install was super simple with just a few snips of the factory hoses!
